Services

What we design & build

Whether you need a first website, a rebuild of something that's stopped working, or a page built for one campaign, the work falls into these areas.

01 / 09

Custom website design

We start from your business rather than from a template — which services matter most, what a customer needs to see before they'll call, and how the site should be structured so both people and search engines can follow it.

  • Original layout and visual design, not a stock theme
  • Page structure planned around your services and search terms
  • Copywriting support where you need it
  • Brand-consistent typography, colour and imagery
02 / 09

Small-business website design

Most of our clients are owner-operated: trades and contractors, clinics, shops, salons, professional offices. These sites do one job — get a qualified customer to call, book, or submit a form.

  • Phone number and quote form visible on every page
  • Real service pages instead of one long homepage
  • Google Business Profile and local search groundwork
  • Simple enough to update yourself if you want to
03 / 09

Website development

The build behind the design — the technical work that decides whether your site is fast, indexable and reliable. It's the part cheap builds skip, and the part you notice six months later.

  • Semantic HTML with a correct H1 → H2 → H3 hierarchy
  • Compressed, correctly sized, lazy-loaded images
  • Minimal JavaScript and no unnecessary third-party scripts
  • Titles, meta descriptions, canonicals and XML sitemap
  • SSL, redirects and clean, readable URLs
04 / 09

Website redesign

If your current site is slow, dated, hard to edit or invisible on a phone, rebuilding is usually cheaper than living with it. The important part is not losing what already works.

  • Audit of pages that already bring traffic or leads
  • Existing URLs preserved, or 301-redirected properly
  • Content migrated and improved rather than discarded
  • Speed, mobile and accessibility fixed in the rebuild
05 / 09

Mobile-responsive design

The majority of local searches happen on a phone. We design at phone width first, then scale up, and test on real screen sizes before launch rather than assuming.

  • Readable text without pinch-zooming
  • Tap targets large enough to hit accurately
  • No horizontal scrolling or overlapping elements
  • Tap-to-call and tap-to-map that actually work
06 / 09

Landing pages

Single-purpose pages for one service, one offer or one ad campaign. Everything unrelated to the conversion gets removed, which is exactly why they outperform sending paid traffic at a homepage.

  • One offer, one call to action
  • Built to match the ad that sent the visitor
  • Conversion tracking wired in from launch
07 / 09

Lead-generation websites

Structured around the path from "found you on Google" to "submitted an enquiry" — and built to remove every obstacle in between.

  • Short forms that ask only what you actually need
  • Calls to action placed where the decision gets made
  • Trust content: service detail, area served, contact info
  • Speed, because slow pages lose mobile visitors first
08 / 09

Blog & content publishing

A blog you can actually update. Publishing service explainers and local articles is the most reliable way to rank for more than your company name, so we build the section, the layout and the workflow for adding posts.

  • Article layout designed to match the site
  • Categories, related links and clean URLs
  • Written so you can add posts without calling us
09 / 09

Website maintenance

Websites drift. Forms silently break, content goes out of date, images pile up, pages slow down. Maintenance keeps that from quietly costing you leads.

  • Content and service updates as your business changes
  • Hosting, SSL and security handled for you
  • Uptime and form-delivery monitoring
  • Periodic speed and mobile checks
How we lay a page out

What's actually on the page

Design decisions on a small-business site aren't really about taste. They're about what a visitor needs in front of them before they'll pick up the phone, and where it has to sit. This is the same skeleton under every page we build.

Blueprint of a page we'd build — the decisions, not the decoration

The difference

CRM integration & website automation

Plenty of companies will design you a website. Far fewer can also build the system that handles what happens after someone fills out the form on it.

A website that captures leads nobody follows up on is an expensive brochure.
01

CRM integration

Every form, call and message from the site lands in one pipeline with the source recorded, so you can see which pages and campaigns actually produce work.

02

Lead capture

Quote forms, web chat, click-to-call and booking widgets placed where they convert — and configured so submissions are never silently lost.

03

Automated follow-up

Instant auto-reply to the lead, instant notification to you, then a scheduled sequence that keeps working while you're on site.

04

Missed-call text back

An unanswered call triggers an automatic text, so the caller doesn't simply dial your competitor next.

05

Online booking

Customers book straight into your calendar from the website, with automated reminders to reduce no-shows.

06

Review requests

Automatic review invitations after a completed job, which feeds back into your local search visibility.

07

Payments and text-to-pay

Invoices and payment links sent by text or email, paid from the customer's phone, with the payment recorded against their record instead of chased separately.

08

Email and text campaigns

Seasonal offers, service reminders and re-engagement messages sent to the customer list the site has already built for you.

Process

How a project runs

No mystery, no open-ended invoices. Every project follows the same sequence.

01

Discovery call

We learn what your business does, who you're trying to reach, what's working now and what the site needs to achieve. Usually 20–30 minutes.

02

A written scope — pages, features, integrations, timeline — with a fixed price. Nothing starts until you approve it.

03

Structure & content

We map the pages and heading structure, then work through copy and images. This stage decides how well the site ranks, so it gets real attention.

04

Design

We design the key page templates and share them for review. You give feedback, we revise, and we don't move on until the direction is right.

05

Build & integrate

Responsive build, images compressed, forms wired up, CRM and automation connected, tracking installed.

06

Test & launch

Mobile testing, form testing, speed checks, redirects, sitemap submission and Search Console setup — then we go live together.

07

FAQ

Website design questions

How much does a small-business website cost?

Cost is driven by scope: how many pages, whether copy and photography exist already, and whether you want booking, payments, a CRM or automation connected. A simple brochure site is a very different project from a multi-service lead-generation site with automated follow-up. We scope your project properly and give you a fixed written quote up front, so the number you approve is the number you pay.

How long does it take to build a website?

Typically a few weeks from kickoff to launch for a focused small-business site, and longer for larger builds with booking, online payments or complex automation. The single biggest variable is how quickly content arrives. You get a timeline with your quote and a clear list of what we need from you and when.

Do you build websites for businesses in Gilroy?

Yes — Gilroy is our home market. Verge AI Systems is based here and local businesses make up the core of our work. We're glad to meet in person locally.

Do you provide website design throughout the Bay Area?

Yes. We work with businesses across Morgan Hill, San Martin, San Jose, Santa Clara, Hollister and the wider San Francisco Bay Area. Projects run remotely with calls and shared previews, which keeps things moving regardless of distance.

Can you redesign an existing website?

Yes. Before touching anything we look at which pages already earn traffic or enquiries. Those URLs are preserved or 301-redirected to the right new page, so the redesign improves the site without throwing away search visibility you've already built.

Will I be able to update the website myself?

In most cases yes, and we walk you through it at handover. If you'd rather not touch it, we can handle updates for you under a maintenance arrangement.

Who owns the domain and the content?

You do. The domain is registered in your name, and the copy, images and any content we produce for the site are yours. Hosting, SSL and ongoing updates are included in your plan rather than billed separately, and if you ever decide to move on we hand over your content and release the domain.

Can you connect a website to a CRM?

Yes. We can integrate your site with a CRM so form submissions, calls and messages all arrive in one pipeline with their source tracked. If you don't have a CRM yet, we can set one up as part of the build.

Can the website take payments?

Yes, for the things most local businesses actually need: deposits, booking payments, invoices and payment links that a customer can settle from their phone. If what you need is a large product catalogue with inventory and shipping rules, say so early — that is a different kind of build and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.

Can I publish blog posts and update content myself?

Yes. The site includes a blog and an editor you can use without touching code, and we show you how at handover. Publishing service explainers and local articles is one of the more reliable ways to rank for searches beyond your company name.

Can you automate leads after someone fills out a website form?

Yes. A submission can trigger an instant text or email to the lead, a notification to your phone, creation of a contact in your pipeline and a scheduled follow-up sequence — all without you doing anything.

Do you offer SEO as well?

We build the on-page SEO fundamentals into every site: heading structure, titles and meta descriptions, internal linking, page speed, schema, canonicals and a working sitemap. Ongoing SEO campaigns are a separate conversation — ask us and we'll be honest about whether it's worth it for your market.
